Tollywood star
Yash quietly rang in his birthday on Monday with a few loved ones. The actor, who’s never been in favour of a big birthday celebration, spent some time with his family. “I don’t like celebrating my birthday. I feel awkward cutting a cake in front of people. Besides, my mother passed away this year so I am not in the mood to celebrate,” said the actor.
He added, “My older son got a cake for me and decorated the room, and I loved the gesture. I realised he is growing up. Nusrat (Jahan) baked a cake for me as well.”
Yash also revealed some details about his birthday menu, which was mostly curated by Nusrat. “My birthday lunch always used to be special as
ma would cook for me. This year Nusrat made it special by making
payesh and my favourite
mutton and chicken
kosha. I also had rice, five types of veggie fritters and
illish maach for lunch. For dinner, I had pulao and mutton. Nusrat also made sure my favourite desserts, milk cake and
goja, were there on the menu. My diet has gone for a toss since Durga Pujo and I am sure it’ll continue till Diwali. At times it goes on till New Year!” Yash said.
Turns out, the Tolly star is not big on birthday resolutions. “I’ve noticed both New Year and birthday resolutions go for a toss after a few days. I always pray to God for everyone’s well-being and I did the same yesterday,” said the actor who is at present shooting for a Hindi film in Mumbai.
